Specsavers are looking for a dedicated and passionate optometrist to become the new Optometry Partner across both Paignton and Totnes stores. This is a rare opportunity to become a multi-site Store Partner in two fantastic businesses. About the stores
Specsavers in Paignton first opened its doors nearly 30 years ago. The store sits in a prominent position on the main pedestrianised high street and is firmly embedded within the local community.
The store has just completed a rebrand so looks fantastic! It now boasts 4 test rooms, and 1 dedicated audiology room as well as an onsite lab and dedicated rooms/areas for pre-screening, contact lens, training room and staffing area.
Specsavers Paignton is also an Audiology Hub providing support for its spoke stores, Totnes, Torquay and Torquay The Willows.
Totnes Specsavers opened in 2019 so still looks and feels like a new store and also sits in a prominent position on the main high street. There are 2 optical test rooms and 1 dedicated audiology room.
A team of 20 dedicated and passionate colleagues call these stores home, 16 in Paignton and 4 in Totnes, and they both benefit from the guidance of Karen Stone the existing Retail Partner.
Both Specsavers stores pride themselves in ensuringthatevery one of their customers receivesan excellentpatient experience.The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews and an excellent local reputation.
Store locations
Paignton is a bustling, picturesque seaside resort in Devon on the south coast. With stunning beaches, water sports, green spaces, a pier and plenty of cafes and restaurants, its easy to see why Paignton is a popular tourist destination. There are excellent transport links, a mainline train station is within easy reach of the store where a train to Exeter will take less than an hour. For drivers, access to the A380 is minutes away from the town and the A38 is less than 13 miles.
Totnes is a stunning town, located on the River Dart within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are lots of independent shops and restaurants amid the winding streets lined with beautiful historic buildings. The A385 runs through the town and the A38 Devon Expressway can be reached in around 15 minutes. There’s a train station half a mile from the store where you’ll find trains to Newton Abbot take less than 12 minutes or towns further afield such as Newton Abbot, under 40 minutes.

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
