People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cambuslang, Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay: £17.83 per hour (this is a PAYE vacancy, so holiday pay will be accrued separately)
Day to Day Duties
- Delivery of goods from warehouse to store and trunking
- Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must undergo a drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role will be beneficial
Training
- Driving assessment will have to be completed, including theory test
- Following successful assessment, there will be a one-week paid induction, which will take place on day shifts
