Our client in Cowley is looking for a HGV Class 1 driver. This is a full-time position on a night shift, mainly trunking driving, but might be multi-drop. This will be 5 x shifts per week.

The role will be starting immediately.

Duties:

  • Driving HGV1 vehicle as required to cover deliveries or trunking. (Deliveries up to 5-6 max per shift)
  • Liaising with the Transport office team during your shift regarding jobs requiring completing.
  • All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use.
  • Driving in a safe, responsible manner on behalf of the client you are representing.
  • Follow driver working time directive at all times.

Requirements:

  • Hold HGV1 driving licence.
  • Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
  • Be prepared to wait for your job, shunt or delivery. (Paid throughout)
  • Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good Knowledge of working time directive.
  • Maximum of 6 points on your licence.
  • Good communication skills.

Pay:

£17.27-£21.27 per hour.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Start at 3pm - usually 8-10h shift.
