Our client in Bridgwater manufacture precision machined plastic components for leading businesses in sectors including Medical, Life Sciences, Aerospace, and Formula 1 industries. If you are an experienced CNC Setter with programming and operating experience looking for a career with excellent long term potential then this is the opportunity for you.
Salary between £35,000-£43,000 including 15% shift allowance. Benefits include 33 days holiday (inc Bank holidays), your birthday off, enhanced 5% pension contribution, and more.
You will rotate between two weekly shifts:
- Pattern 1 - Monday to Friday 0600-1400
- Pattern 2 - Monday - Thursday 1400-2300, and Friday 1400-1800
The purpose of the role is to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality through the effective setting and running of CNC machines. You will create and adjust setups, programs, and inspect parts produced, notifying the team of any concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC machinery, including multi-axis and mill-turn systems.
- Work on machines such as Variaxis, CV5, Integrex, Nexus Mill, MSY Turn, Alpha 2-axis, and Mazak systems.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders or Supervisors on production issues and ensure parts meet tolerance specifications.
- Conduct self-inspections to maintain high-quality output.
- Train and support apprentices in CNC machining and setups.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and housekeeping standards.

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in CNC machining technology.
Requirements:
