We are currently recruiting for 1 Team Manager to lead our Pre Birth Team. The Pre Birth Team is a small, specialist Team of 2 Advanced Practitioner and 1 Family Support Worker.
You will be responsible for providing the leadership and supervision for the Team. The Team works intensively with a small number of families from the point of referral through the pre birth and post birth period using a clear practice model, which is used across the North East region.
The Team is overseen by the Service Manager for the Front Door, is supported by an established multi agency Steering Group and is well embedded within Children ‘s Services in North Tyneside. Senior managers are visible and accessible so you know you are never alone in the work that you do with children, young people and families.
You will be responsible for the overall management and development of the Pre Birth Team and ensuring that social work practice follows the Signs of Safety model. You will join the Regional Pre Birth Team Management Group to support the ongoing development and implementation of pre birth work, and learning from colleague and practices across the region.

You will be a qualified social worker with at least 5 years experience in statutory social work in one or more of the following areas: child in need plans, child protection assessments and plans, and children in the care of the local authority. You will have experience of working in partnership – with children, their family and wider networks, and professional colleagues across education, health, police and the voluntary sector.
It is important that you have excellent written skills, and are proficient in using IT. We will provide you with devices and equipment that promotes flexibility in how you work, and training in LCS, our electronic child record system.
