Location – Lanark Delivery Office (1 Home St, Lanark ML11 9AR)
Shift Pattern – Monday – Saturday, 10:30 – 16:30. Day off rotated weekly
Hours per week – 30 (subject to change dependant on requirements)
Duration – Temporary ongoing as required
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity, we would love to hear from you! Pertemps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Postal Delivery Workers across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- You'll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered.
- You'll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
- The role will be physically demanding, where you'll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a post bag, delivering letters and parcels.
- Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a post trolley during deliveries.
Key Requirements:
- MUST hold a valid full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points in your current address. (a clean license is preferred)
- Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
- Working outdoors in all weathers is required.
- Flexible with shift times and days.
- A Basic Disclosure check will be carried out for successful candidates.
