An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HVAC Systems Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering critical works across major UK and European nuclear energy programmes. These include Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, Small Modular Reactor (SMR) developments, and Poland's first nuclear power station.

This role focuses on the technical oversight of HVAC equipment contracts during the handover phase, working closely with design, layout, and systems teams, suppliers, and clients. You will be at the heart of major infrastructure delivery, ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the HVAC contract team in technical meetings with suppliers and clients.
  • Monitor contractor deliverables related to handover activities, such as seismic notes and HVAC databases.
  • Track key handover milestones and ensure timely progress reporting.
  • Assess technical impacts of Contractor Change Requests (CCRs) and manage modifications.
  • Update HVAC databases and manage Change Transfer Sheets (CTS) in line with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate 3D model reviews, duct and support calculations, and readiness for manufacturing activities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in layout engineering or relevant field.
  • Proficient in PDMS, E3D, Navisworks (essential).
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems and components (e.g., AHUs, fans, filters, coils).
  • Knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) HVAC design principles.
  • Experience on EPR projects or industrial sites is desirable.
  • Strong communication, workload management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proactive and confident, particularly when working with remote teams and managing multiple tasks.
