Town Planner
Location: London

Penguin Recruitment is working on behalf of a respected planning and environmental consultancy to recruit a Town Planner for their London office.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner to work across a broad range of projects, supporting clients through the planning process from early-stage site appraisal through to submission and determination. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team with strong technical expertise and a clear focus on professional development.

The Role

As a Town Planner , you will:

  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries

  • Undertake site appraisals, planning research, and policy analysis

  • Draft planning statements and supporting technical documentation

  • Liaise with local planning authorities, clients, and consultants

  • Monitor planning policy and legislative changes

  • Attend site visits, meetings, and consultations as required

  • About You

    The ideal Town Planner will have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • Experience within a consultancy, local authority, or development environment

  • Progress toward or holding RTPI membership

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive and organised approach to work
