Job Description
A dynamic architecture studio in London is looking for a Technical Architect to join their team. Specialising in high-end private residential projects, the studio is seeking a candidate with at least two years of UK experience to manage all technical aspects across RIBA stages 4 to 7, using ArchiCAD. This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative, small team where each member focuses on design, technical design, or project management.
Requirements:
- ARB or CIAT registered with 2+ years post qualification experience
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD essential
- Experience working on medium to high-end residential projects for end users
- Strong technical design and detailing skills, particularly within a 3D BIM environment
- Experience delivering projects through RIBA stages 4 to 7, including producing detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations
- Familiarity with BIM concepts, workflows, and collaboration
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with team members, clients, consultants, and contractors
- A keen interest in sustainability and emerging technical solutions
- Eligible to work permanently in the UK
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support through RIBA Stages 0 to 7
- Produce and coordinate tender and construction packages, including drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Manage tender processes, including issuing documentation and analysing tenders in collaboration with a quantity surveyor
- Conduct site inspections, liaise with contractors, manage site procedures, and respond to RFIs
- Administer JCT contracts, issue related instructions and documentation, and collaborate with project directors
- Stay up to date with technical and sustainability innovations
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality, bespoke residential projects
