Customs Specialist – Freight

Are you passionate about all things Customs & International Trade? Would you consider yourself an expert in this field? Do you have exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail? Then this could be be the role for you?

The Role:

As a Customs Expert, you will need a solid customs background with up-to-date knowledge on all things Customs related. Ideally, you will come from a freight forwarding background or have experience working for HMRC.

You will be responsible for monitoring changes in Customs legislation, analysing, documenting, and providing guidance to the business.

You will act as a mentor and coach to the forwarding team, the wider business, and clients.

The successful candidate will be involved in Customs projects and serve as a focal point in the business, as well as being hands-on during busy periods, completing declarations with the team.

Essential Criteria:

• Solid Customs background
• Good understanding of import/export requirements
• Experience in business analysis
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to work under pressure
