Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Vetro is actively seeking experienced waking night Learning Disability Support Workers on behalf of a client based in Swansea, on an Ad-hoc basis. The service users will be 18 years old and above with autism and complex needs. A desire to make a difference in individuals' lives is essential to this role. You will be assisting in their day-to-day lives, in their home, and in the community, taking out on activities to promote independence.

Overview:

  • Location: Swansea
  • Job Type: Temporary
  • PBM training essential
  • Practical Manual Handling training is preferable (we can offer this at a subsidised price at our office)
  • Immediate starts available
  • Shifts: Ad hoc/temporary/temp to perm/part-time hours/full-time hours
  • Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
  • A full UK driving license is preferred

The role:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.

The candidate:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working within a social care setting in the UK
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
  • PBM training essential
