We’re looking for a Lead / Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead a small team (of 2x people) in a site that has undergone a multimillion-pound investment. Role profile:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and delivering all the shift engineering maintenance activities, both planned and ad hoc on your shift. You will be responsible for ensuring that weekly work plans are effective in achieving the lowest possible downtime whilst supporting the operations team to maintain production efficiencies in a fast-paced 24/7 FMCG environment.

Working hours / Shifts:
4on, 4off (2x days / 2x nights) 06:30 - 18:30 / 18:30 - 06:30. Overtime is available, paid at x1.5 & double time.
Brief summary of responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2 engineers.
- Manage the engineering shift and resources to provide maximum availability of all production plant and support equipment.
- Ensure that the engineering shift is effective, flexible, and developed to meet current and future site demands.
- Implement initiatives that drive out costs, improve OEE and waste reduction.
- Liaise and support the FLM team ensuring high levels of shift performance are achieved, embracing the site safety and Quality cultures.
- Ensure that the engineering team operates to maximise machine uptime, planned maintenance, health and safety, quality culture, hygiene, and budgetary requirements.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
We’re seeking a Senior Engineer with proven leadership & team management abilities. You’ll need to have a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical or Multi skilled) and be qualified to ONC or BTEC equivalent (HNC is desirable). Ideally Food Manufacturing experience or FMCG background.
