Experienced Demand Planner required for large Manufacturing company based in Plymouth. Reporting to the Planning, Logistics & Supply Chain Lead, the successful candidate will form a crucial link to between Customer demand and the effective scheduling of production within the value stream at the Plymouth site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business at a time of sustained growth. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the customer expectation is in-line with production scheduling. * Provide customer service team with accurate information which will enable accurate conversations with customers. * Responsible for ensuring all customer generated demand is raised on ERP system. * To assess the feasibility of customer, expedite and deferment requests. * Work closely with Inventory Management Co-ordinator to ensure schedule adherence is maintained to maximise efficiency. * Continually monitor throughput against capacity providing feedback communication to customer service when required * Work closely with Customer service and purchasing in planning to the available capacity * Ensure the effective, economic, and efficient flow of parts through production. * Communicate with call off suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fast-moving materials and consumables * Analyse usage patterns and communicate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure stock levels are optimised to support production. * Raise and provide production with work orders in line with schedule. * Communicate supply shortfalls and ensure mitigation is in place to minimise effects on customer demand. * Provide aspects of cover for Planning Team leader. Essential Experience, Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required: * GCSE Grade A – C in English & Maths. * Production planning experience gained from within fast paced Engineering or Manufacturing environments, coupled with knowledge / experience of ERP systems * Excellent Interpersonal/communication skills. * Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft excel. * Able to process high volumes of transactions quickly and accurately. * Data Analysis experience. Desirable Knowledge and Experience: * Understanding of lean manufacturing methods. * Experience dealing with suppliers. * OEE scheduling software experience. * Power BI Experience.
