PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes Consulting Group are pleased to be working alongside a trusted Insurance Broker to help them find a skilled Account Handler to join their team. This role involves managing insurance portfolios, providing tailored solutions, and delivering outstanding client service. The successful candidate will work alongside Account Executives to ensure efficient client support while upholding accuracy, compliance, and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to client inquiries promptly, foster strong professional relationships, facilitate policy administration, and provide expert guidance on insurance solutions.
  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations accurately, review documentation, and update client records.
  • Engage with insurers to negotiate premiums and secure optimal coverage terms.
  • Ensure adherence to FCA regulations, stay updated on industry changes, and provide accurate client advice.
  • Support colleagues, share knowledge, and mentor junior team members.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in commercial insurance account handling.
  • ACII qualification or willingness to pursue it is preferred.
  • Experience with Acturis or similar system an advantage.

KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty obligations.
