Location: South Leicester
Forming part of an international group, this specialist and highly innovative international manufacturer of high quality FMCG products seeks a dedicated HS&E Manager to lead and co-ordinate within this ambitious and forward thinking organisation.
Following an internal promotion, you will form part of the key management team in a self-standing role that includes a high level of influence and freedom to drive and maintain best practice HSE processes and initiatives across this high volume and complex production operation.
The Role:
- Lead responsibility for the development, co-ordination and management of Health & Safety systems and processes, ensuring effective management systems are defined to deliver optimum site level H&S / Legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures including all aspects of food safety and hygiene policies.
- Perform detailed site audits, highlighting concerns and implement improvements coupled with assisting in the implementation of projects including Capex investments and new installations as part of growth plans.
The Person:
- Experience of working in a high volume, advanced manufacturing operation (ideally FMCG, Plastics / Packaging / Pharma / Food or Drink) with upwards of 5 years dedicated Health & Safety experience coupled with NEBOSH qualification (Diploma ideally but open to NEBOSH Certificate with training support provided).
- A strong appreciation of a dynamic, and continuous production environment operating to the highest standards.
- Ability to inspire, influence, and engage fully with others across the business to ensure that HSE remains embedded in the business culture and methodology.
- Comfortable at working in a matrix structure within an international business dealing with multiple stakeholders including overseas colleagues.
