Are you an experienced Head Chef with a passion for delivering nutritious, high-quality food in a care setting? We are working in partnership with a highly respected, award-winning care provider to appoint a Head Chef for one of their beautiful, purpose-built care homes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established provider with a growing portfolio of luxury homes and an excellent reputation for clinical and hospitality excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and mentoring a team of kitchen staff, including a Sous Chef and Kitchen Assistants.
- Designing and delivering a varied, seasonal, and nutritious food programme tailored to individual needs (including soft diets and dysphagia).
- Managing daily budgets, stock, and suppliers with a focus on cost control and portioning.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen environment.
- Supporting with hospitality for events and celebrations within the home.
Requirements:
- You are an experienced Head Chef with a background in care or healthcare catering.
- You’re confident in menu planning, nutrition, and catering to a variety of dietary needs.
- You understand the importance of balancing quality and cost control.
- You bring energy, leadership, and a passion for excellent food that enhances the lives of residents.
- Knowledge or training in dysphagia diets is highly desirable.
