Second Line Service Desk Engineer – MSP
Location: Cornwall – Bodmin
Salary: £27,000 – £32,500 DOE
Full-time | Office-based with some fieldwork

About the Role
As a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, you’ll be a key player in a busy MSP Service Desk team, providing technical support to multiple businesses across different industries. You’ll help manage and troubleshoot complex technical issues, support First Line Engineers, and work on a variety of IT projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide 2nd Line technical support to a range of clients in an MSP environment
- Manage and monitor the helpdesk, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
- Act as a point of escalation for First Line Engineers
- Assist field engineers and provide on-site support as required
- Research, scope, and implement a wide variety of IT projects
- Monitor security threats and implement security measures
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in an IT support role (preferably within an MSP)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN), Windows Servers
- Experience with onsite/offsite backup solutions and cloud storage
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A full driving licence (access to a vehicle is beneficial but not essential)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working in an MSP environment
- Certifications like CompTIA A+ (advantageous but not required)
