We are a leading business in the heating and cooling industry. For nearly sixty years we have been partnering with our clients, making a difference to their lives and businesses. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with the right experience to join our Refrigeration Projects Department.
What you'll be doing:
- As a Refrigeration Sales Engineer you will work within our Group Special Projects team and be responsible for the design, selection and sale of complete refrigeration systems suitable for enquiries received by any of our eleven branch offices.
- You will apply your technical and organisational skills to ensure we deliver outstanding customer service, meeting the unique requirements of each project.
- A very important part of your role will be to ensure that all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are being followed.
- You will have knowledge of and ensure that all necessary steps are taken to maintain full compliance with the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations PE(S)R for all projects designed by you.
- Your days will vary - sometimes you may be in the office for most of the day, other days you will be visiting customer sites to survey, discuss and understand the requirements of the customer, and ultimately sell our solution.
- You will plan the job, and ultimately with the assistance of the Contracts Manager ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of everybody.
- You will be the main point of contact for the customer from the initial enquiry until commissioning is completed.

What do you need to have?
- Proven design and sales background in the commercial / light industrial refrigeration industry.
- Customer relationship management experience within the industry.
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge of a wide range of systems.
- Knowledge of low GWP, CO2, Hydrocarbons and secondary refrigeration systems is desirable.
- High financial and commercial awareness with the ability to manage large budgets and resources.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong business relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues and contractors.
- A thorough understanding of and ability to deliver outstanding and continuous customer service.
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office 365.

If you are successful, you will be required to complete an Advanced DBS Check with Barred Lists check.
