We are representing one of the largest training providers in the sector—an Ofsted Grade 2 organisation with over 30 years of experience. They deliver training across all four nations of the UK, supporting over 7,000 active apprentices. Recognised as a trusted leader in the field, they are now seeking an Essential Skills ICT Tutor to join their team.
Salary: £31,000
Location: Hybrid role with travel across Northern Ireland as required
Qualifications
- A degree in ICT is preferred; however, relevant career experience may be considered as an alternative.
- A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above is preferable.
- GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) in English & Maths (Grade A–C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Technical Skills: Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills. Experience in training design and delivery. Up-to-date knowledge of Learning & Development strategies.
- Behavioural Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong self-motivation and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel across the region as required by business needs.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong time management and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks
- Plan and deliver training in line with internal and external (funding body & ETI) standards.
- Design and implement training materials and programmes to meet learning and development needs.
- Provide guidance and support for learners using the Essential Skills e-Learning system.
- Support learners on a one-to-one and group basis, ensuring timely completion of end tests.
- Maintain accurate learner support records in the Maytas system, adhering to compliance and audit procedures.
- Coordinate learner planning and profiling with managers to ensure timely completion of Essential Skills, reducing the risk of learners going out of funding.
- Conduct exam invigilation following established procedures.
- Perform internal verification of Essential Skills assessments in line with the IQA strategy.
- Develop sampling plans based on risk assessment and quality assurance standards.
- Ensure all supporting verification records comply with Inspiro Quality Assurance Procedures.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely feedback to trainers via Maytas and monthly C403 reports.
