Are you a Linguistics Graduate, interested in supporting children with EAL and Speech, Language and Communication Needs in Barnet? I am working with a multi-lingual primary school in Barnet who are looking for a Linguistics Graduate to monitor students’ Speech and Language progress throughout the academic year, provide support in small group interventions and 1:1 sessions, and work alongside the SEND team to ensure adequate support is provided to each student. Our client school is a wonderful and diverse primary school, where each student, teacher and member of staff are valued for their differences, and each voice is heard. We are looking to speak with Linguistics Graduates who are confident, are looking to work in Speech and Language in the future, and who are always willing to learn! Linguistics Graduate | About the role: Work in a primary school in Barnet, on a Term-Time-Only basis. A Linguistics Graduate can earn up to £105 a day | Paid weekly via PAYE. Develop and prepare visual materials for Speech Therapy and classroom sessions Support pupils with SEN, additional needs and EAL Carry out 1:1 and small group intervention sessions for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs Significantly improve stutters, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, selective mutism and speech delay and assist students with EAL Work under the supervision of the school SENCo and Speech and Language Therapist Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 4 pm Linguistics Graduate | About you: Graduated with a minimum 2:1 in Linguistics or a related subject at a Top 20 UK University Experience supporting children with SEND will be advantageous You are looking to gain very beneficial experience to apply for MSc Speech and Language Therapy You are passionate and committed to supporting and improving children with speech and language impediments Be willing to complete all necessary training to support students.
