We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously. The Care Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure tailored support for each client’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.
Skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- At least 1 Year Experience in a care home or home care setting.
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
- Health Care Certificate preferred
VISA / Work Permit
We are able to provide a new Tier 2 visa sponsorship (5 years) or visa sponsorship swap for candidates that are already in the UK. If you are offered a Tier 2 sponsorship visa, we are able to assist with your flight and relocation fees. You cover your own visa cost and you must complete and pass the 3 month probationary period. (T&C Apply).
