The Role: Own the design, deployment, and optimisation of CA Service Desk (CASD) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions for the Ministry of Defence. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll install, configure, and fine-tune CASD - ensuring seamless service management in a mission-critical, secure environment. You’ll automate workflows, integrate APIs, and develop data feeds that provide decision-makers with an enterprise-wide view of IT assets. Working within a multi-skilled agile team, you’ll take full ownership of work packages, from design through to production, ensuring smooth transitions and providing ongoing support.
Essential Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for DV Clearance (sponsorship available).
- ITSM Expertise: Deep knowledge of incident, change, and problem management in enterprise environments.
- CASD Mastery: Strong experience installing, configuring, and administering the CA Service Desk.
- Technical Integration: Hands-on experience with SQL queries, Windows OS, Group Policies, and scripting.
- Service Management Tools: Bonus points for familiarity with BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- API & Automation Skills: Ability to script and integrate web-based APIs to enhance system functionality.
- On-Premises Focus: This isn’t a cloud-based role—you’ll configure and optimise on-prem ITSM solutions.
Benefits Package:
- Base Salary: £80,000 per annum
