If this sounds like a place you’d like to work, we have an exciting opportunity within our People Services team to recruit a Senior HR Advisor. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the post holder will play a key role within Benenden Health, acting as the main point of contact for our colleagues and People Leaders who require expert HR advice, guidance and/or coaching.
The successful candidate will be either CIPD level 5 qualified, and/or have relevant and transferable HR Advisory experience, and be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate and influence at all levels.
- The ability to design and deliver upskilling/training on HR subjects.
- Providing coaching support to People Leaders on HR related matters.
- A proven track record of developing HR Policies and Procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- The ability to independently manage a number of ER caseloads.
- Identifying and resolving HR-related issues effectively.
- A strong working and practical knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- The ability to work autonomously.
As well as offering an annual salary of £45,000, we are a Smart Working organisation, flexing our time working from home and in our registered offices depending on our meetings and workplace commitments. On average, this would translate into the post holder working within our offices three days per week.
Key accountabilities for this role include:
- Acting as a point of contact for our colleagues and People Leaders who require expert HR advice, guidance or coaching on areas such as employee relations, absences, performance management and our HR Policies and Procedures.
- Owning and managing an ER caseload end-to-end, supporting People Leaders to make fair and consistent decisions, in line with our policies and procedures and employment legislation.
- Providing coaching to all People Leaders (including new People Leaders) on HR policies, procedures and processes.
- Tracking and proactively responding to any changes in employment legislation, best practice and market trends, including communications to the business.
- In partnership with the HR Assistant, Talent Acquisition Lead and People Business Partners, monitoring, reviewing and creating HR policies, procedures, contracts and supporting documents to ensure these are in line with employment law and current legislation and HR best practice.
- Supporting our People leaders within HR related meetings, such as Sickness Absence Hearings, Performance Management Hearings and Disciplinary Hearings.
- Assisting in the development and delivery of key HR initiatives.
- Undertaking peer checking for documentation that relates to colleague employment.
- Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and projects which support the objectives and performance of the People Services department.
