The Role
- Responsible for compliance with the company\\\’s health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring workshop policies are adhered to.
- Ensure work carried out meets Wrightbus agreed quality standards and that all quality sign-offs and procedures are complied with.
- Install vehicle electrical control systems to the specification requirements as detailed in relevant documentation.
- Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in contract build documentation.
- Terminate various automotive and high-voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
- Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
- Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
- Ensure installation is completed in accordance with allocated process times.
- Be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
- Undertake any required training or retraining, including the training of others.
The Requirements
- Time-served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
- Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams.
- Experience routing and connecting various cable types.
- Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willing to undertake or provide training as required.
- Aware of general Health and Safety rules.
- Proven ability to be flexible, including working overtime and changing shift patterns as required.
