We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Burnley. This rewarding role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who requires additional support., * Provide 1:1 support for a child in EYFS, focusing on both learning and personal development.

  • Deliver tailored interventions to support the child’s individual needs, including specialist SEN strategies.

  • Assist with personal care as required.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCo, and other professionals to implement the child’s learning plan.

  • Foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where the child can thrive both academically and emotionally.

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within an EYFS setting.

  • Understanding of specific interventions and strategies to support children with additional needs.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have strong experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
