Main job function
You will be responsible for leading the planning function on major construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Key tasks and duties:
- Develop and manage complex project schedules from inception to completion.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, design, construction management, and commissioning.
- Conduct interactive planning workshops to facilitate team alignment.
- Analyse project critical paths and provide updates on schedule performance to the project management team.
- Deliver insights during constructability reviews to optimize project schedules.
- Determine and communicate resource requirements to achieve project objectives.
- Identify variances, provide regular performance updates, and recommend corrective actions, as necessary.
The person:
- You will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar planning role with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong commitment to quality and project success.
- Proficiency in ASTA or similar project management software.
