We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of the facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors.
- Support planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Training and Development
The successful candidate will be provided with full training opportunities, including enrollment in the following courses:
- LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) Training to ensure the proper maintenance and operation of ventilation systems.
- F-Gas Certification to handle fluorinated gases safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a similar environment.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
