About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Ledger Team Leader to lead and develop the Finance Support function by overseeing the Accounts Payable and Cash book operations, ensuring all transactions are posted and reconciled in an efficient and timely way. Overseeing key month end procedures (Bank account, AP & AR ledgers reconciliations and close and supplier payment runs) to ensure month end deadlines are met you will lead on continuous improvement to drive efficiencies, improve processes and facilitate change management following introduction of the Group’s ERP (Workday).
Your impact
You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders and as such you will possess significant experience of leading a busy Finance Team. A good knowledge of financial systems and processes is essential, as is an AAT or equivalent bookkeeping qualification/experience. Working knowledge of VAT (input VAT recovery and output VAT charging) is essential and experience of using Workday Financials would be a distinct advantage.

You will join our busy Finance Team who have recently implemented a new ERP, Workday, to ensure the best possible levels of customer service to all stakeholders.
Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
