Our client is a bespoke furniture manufacturing company based in Newton Abbot and we are currently seeking a Specialist Chair Assembler to join their friendly team, where you will play a key role in the production and manufacturing process, ensuring that chairs and accessories are assembled to the highest standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for using various hand tools and equipment to assemble chairs according to set specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate for this position will have a natural ability to work with their hands and a strong aptitude for following assembly diagrams and drawings. Previous experience in chair assembly or woodworking would be a definite advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble chairs using hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Read and interpret product specifications and diagrams
  • Inspect assembled chairs for quality and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues that may arise
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in chair assembly or woodworking preferred, although training will be provided
