Our client is a leading manufacturing company and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance duties at our client's manufacturing plant near Bridgwater.
The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join the shift maintenance team in providing effective planned and reactive mechanical maintenance support. Your duties will include the following:
- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance and repair of modern production plant and machinery
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, compressors, motors
- Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, cylinders etc.
- Welding & fabrication
- Tool room work machining worn and/or replacement parts
Candidate: You will be an experienced mechanical engineer preferably with previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be a qualified engineer holding as a minimum NVQ3 or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering. Time served engineers are welcome to apply. You will have good welding and tool room skills.
Hours of work: 12 hour shifts - 4 On / 4 Off Days / Nights. Overtime available.
Benefits: Excellent basic salary £50,700 + OT (Gross earnings £55K - £60K), 23 days annual leave, Health care, Life Insurance, Pension, Free on-site parking.
