The Education Network based in Warrington is Cheshire's leader in providing 1-1 Tutors to students not accessing full time education or transitioning between schools. We are looking to grow our bank of online 1-1 Tutors.
We have been specialists in this field for over 14 years and work directly with mainstream, SEN schools as well as 8 education authorities, and this is expanding at a rapid rate. At present, we have a high demand for 1-1 Tutors who can deliver core subject areas across various key stages, KS1 - KS4 Maths, English and/or Science (all key stages and subjects are not essential).
Sessions are held throughout the school day, so approximately 9am-3pm, and we offer lots of flexibility with timings and timetables. Many of the young people we support on a 1-1 basis have mild and moderate SEMH issues and varying reasons for not attending school. Many are disengaged, having not attended school for some time and as such can display challenging behaviour, or may have certain emotional barriers to learning.
As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible and non-judgemental approach and some recent experience of providing a holistic approach to work to re-engage students back into education. This can be a very rewarding role and suits professional and dedicated Tutors who are seeking a part or full timetable to possibly work around another job, childcare, studies or simply just because you prefer to teach with more flexibility, on a 1-1 basis. Sessions are usually 1 hr per student and we are able to offer you as little or as many hours as you wish.
