LINKS Recruitment Group are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to play an integral part of the manufacturing/production team that offers the opportunity to work within a leading company based in Cardiff who are continuously growing and achieving company goals year on year.
Responsibilities:
- To read and interpret components within fabrication drawings to assess thickness and sizes of welds required.
- To be able to control and minimise material distortion.
- To be responsible for prepping area of work to receive material including pre-heating tools where needed.
- To be responsible for checking quality of own work, cleaning down steel ready for paint and check material for defects or spatter.
- To be able to dress product, removing any sharp edges using grinding techniques.
- To be responsible for marking work with identification number for traceability.
- To read additional weld sheets for complex work.
- To gauge material where needed to correct depth and size.
- To be able to use different consumables depending on project requirements such as Flux Core Wire.
Desirable Skills:
- Background and experience in welding & fabrication.
- Steel fabrication structural steel experience.
- MIG / TIG welding experience.
- Any relevant qualifications are a bonus.
- Experience/background working within a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
Role: Permanent
Salary: £19.50ph - Overtime over 40 hours Mon-Sat 1.5 Sun 2 times.
Shifts: 7am till 3:30pm Mon to Fri.
