EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a leading precision engineering company in Tamworth on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of a Stores Operative:

  • Performing manual stock checks (counting and recording stock levels)
  • Data entry and system updates using Excel, Office, and ERP
  • Stock control, including F.I.F.O and stock rotation
  • General stores operative duties within a precision engineering environment

Requirements for the Stores Operative Role:

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Previous experience as a stores operative or in Warehousing, Stores, or Goods In (Manufacturing, Industrial, Retail, etc.)
  • IT literate – confident using Windows-based ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to follow stock control procedures
