The Reed Business School is looking for a Business Development Executive. This is a pivotal role where your sales expertise will directly contribute to the success of a leading accountancy education provider. Overview
The BDE will be a proactive and commercially minded individual with a strong background in sales and a record of success in new business acquisition. You will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and the Head of Accountancy Programmes to drive growth and ensure the integration of sales strategies with accountancy programmes and apprenticeship requirements. Key responsibilities
- Drive new and repeat business through proactive inbound and outbound B2B and B2C sales efforts.
- Meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets, contributing to the company’s overall revenue goals and monthly minimum planned starts on accountancy programmes.
- Establish RBS as a trusted partner and first-choice provider for clients, building lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Represent the company at industry events, including conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities, to enhance brand presence and foster new relationships.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs, translating insights into strategies that drive business growth.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate business development outcomes and strategic insights.
- Participate in staff development activities and ensure continuous professional development in line with the post, staying up to date with sector and legislative changes.
- Create a positive working relationship with other departments and key stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Proven success in B2B and B2C sales, including new business acquisition and revenue generation.
- Strong understanding of the accountancy sector and apprenticeship programmes.
- Experience working with decision-makers at various levels, with a consultative approach and the ability to adapt to clients’ unique values and requirements.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, with a focus on time management, planning, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales KPIs and revenue targets.
- Ability to work effectively with CRM systems and manage lead follow ups to recruit new employers and fee-paying customers.
This is a hybrid role, the expectation is that you could travel to our beautiful Business school 2-3 times a week which is based in the Cotswolds, however this is open for discussion on progression of the role.
