Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term)

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school in Herne Bay on a fixed-term basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in supporting individual and group learning, ensuring each child reaches their full potential., * Supporting individuals and groups in whole-class activities, helping all children achieve learning goals.

• Leading intervention groups to pre-teach lessons, address misconceptions, and close learning gaps.

• Leading Read Write Inc. phonics sessions in Key Stage 1.

• Providing occasional whole-class cover in the teacher’s absence.

• Offering effective feedback to children and teachers, maintaining appropriate marking and record-keeping.

• Collaborating with teachers to support the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of children.

• Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and the creation of classroom displays.

• Participating in relevant training to further professional development, particularly around behaviour management and emotional health.

• Experience supporting children in an educational setting.

• Ability to work well with teachers, contribute ideas, and provide emotional and social support to children.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to an engaging and nurturing classroom environment.

• Willingness to engage in training and professional development.
