We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team and ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of our customers’ vehicles.
About the Job:
As a Driver at Steer, you will collect customer vehicles for repair and return them afterwards, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Main responsibilities:
- Collecting vehicles from customers and transporting them to our site for repair work.
- Delivering repaired vehicles back to customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
- Providing a high level of customer service throughout the collection and delivery process.
- Following legal requirements as set out in the Road Traffic Act.
- Covering other sites' annual leave and sickness absence as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety guidelines, including wearing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining clean and tidy work areas.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate who has experience in a commercial driving role, ideally as a vehicle recovery driver. You will also:
- Plan your workload effectively and efficiently.
- Work skilfully and safely under pressure.
- Possess good customer service skills.
- Have strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in your approach to work.
- A commitment to continually working to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
- A valid driving licence (ideally clean) and be over the age of 21 due to insurance reasons.
