To ensure successful project delivery, ScotRail must ensure that projects are resourced accordingly and that the necessary level of focus and attention is given to ensure a successful outcome in line with commitments. Develop and monitor the effective use of project controls and ensure governance of project delivery as well as creating and maintaining detailed programmes to manage delivery. The role ensures that all reporting and documentation is updated and liaises with the project team daily to ensure the latest position and associated risks are captured.

  • Able to represent ScotRail with key stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Project or Programme Management tool such as Primavera as well as knowledge of databases such as SharePoint and organising and creating files.
  • Knowledge of finance principles and cost management essential.
  • Experience of managing control logs (RAID) including risk management essential.
  • Previous Project or Programme Control management experience essential and knowledge of the UK rail industry desirable.

Hours of work: This post works Monday – Friday and will be based at Atrium Court, Waterloo Street, Glasgow for at least 3 days per week with some flexibility around core hours and some home working possible if it suits the requirements of the role at the time.

We offer an attractive reference salary of £45,000 - £52,656 per annum.

Selection process: Candidates short-listed will be invited to attend a competency-based interview. The final stage will be the completion of a medical questionnaire. Appointees must provide a basic disclosure Scotland check and at least 2 satisfactory references and complete a six-month probation period.
