We are a Radiation Protection Consultancy, providing Radiation Protection Advice, Laser Protection Advice and Dangerous Goods Safety Advisory services to clients based throughout the UK and Ireland. Our customers include companies in the Industrial, Transport, Pharmaceutical, Universities, Dental & Veterinary sectors.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Health Physicist/ Trainee Radiation Protection Adviser to support our work. You must have excellent verbal & written communication skills to interact with persons at all levels, be self-motivated and be able to work independently in a pressurised environment, be organised and have excellent time management skills.
Duties:
- Visits to clients sites throughout Ireland & the UK
- Carry out Radiation surveys and source leak tests
- Reviewing Safety Procedures
- Preparing Risk Assessments
- Writing technical reports
- Preparing & delivering bespoke Radiation Protection courses to clients, managers & staff
Requirements:
- Degree in Physics or Chemistry
- Full UK/Ireland driving licence
- Be available to work out of hours at the clients request with occasional overnight stays
- You will be required to undertake professional training and work-based learning
- You will be required to work towards achievement of RPA 2000 certification
Desirable:
- Post graduate experience in radiation protection/laser safety
