A dynamic and rapidly growing business with multiple offices across the East of England, based in Bury St Edmunds, currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Finance Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis. As part of a close-knit team of four, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient and accurate processing of financial data, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulations
  • Managing the nominal and purchase ledgers
  • Performing regular bank reconciliations
  • Processing BACS and CHAPS payments in a timely manner
  • Reviewing and distributing completion statements
  • Managing credit control activities and liaising with clients as required
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports and assisting with audits
  • Handling client and office transactions in line with legal and regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess strong administrative skills and be highly organised with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Be a reliable team player, with the capacity to manage their own workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Be adaptable and thrive under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
