The Role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician, you will take the lead on multiple projects, supporting the design team in producing high-quality planning and working drawings. You’ll also manage three team members while working on a variety of house and apartment developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects and assist in preparing planning and working drawings with precision and efficiency
- Amend standard house-type working drawings and create bespoke apartment block designs
- Prepare site technical layouts, ensuring accuracy for planning and legal conveyance purposes
- Collaborate with external consultants and clients to deliver fully coordinated schemes
- Provide technical detailing expertise to prevent delays and ensure smooth project execution
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development
What You’ll Need
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture 2025 & MS Office 365
- Strong knowledge of current Building Regulations – Future Homes Standards a bonus
- Understanding of M4(2), M4(3), NDSS requirements, and Part B (fire safety) for apartment blocks
- Proven experience (5+ years) in volume housebuilding
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work methodically and use initiative to drive projects forward
