As a Design Document Controller you will focus on managing and organising all design-related documentation throughout a project. The role is crucial in ensuring that design documents are accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible to the project team. You will specialise in stage 2 and 3 of a project which follows the initial project brief and begins to take shape through conceptual ideas and designs. It is an important phase for turning the vision and requirements into a more structured and detailed design proposal.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organise all design-related documents ensuring proper filing, version control and accessibility.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and maintain smooth document flow between teams.
- Ensure documents meet project specifications, regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Coordinate the review and approval process for design documents, tracking revisions and feedback.
- Track design changes and communicate updates across teams.
- Produce reports on document status and ensure all documents are ready for audits and inspections.
- Support compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Using SharePoint to upload documents.
