Main purpose of role: Responsible for the management, resourcing, and delivery of Asbestos Removal Services, including accountability for delivery on time and on budget. Responsible for the smooth implementation of projects to secure the health and safety of individuals impacted by the work. The Asbestos Operations Manager is a key role to ensure a ‘turn-key’ service offering through co-operation, communication, and co-ordination with departmental managers. In addition, the Asbestos Contracts Manager is also to ensure, through co-operation, planning, and execution, a ‘best in class’ service.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Asbestos Director to identify, recruit, mentor, and retain new employees
- Plan, manage, co-ordinate, and monitor resource levels to meet demand
- Plan, write, and implement plans of work and Risk Assessments
- Provide suitable information to ensure the health & safety of all parties pertaining to scoped works
- Assist with the maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- Assist with the maintenance of memberships (i.e. Safe contractor, ACAD etc.)
- Assist with attaining new memberships
- Assist with the maintenance and retention of the company's HSE Licence (ASB1)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations, ensuring that all Beech team members represent the company in a good light
- Ensure all tasks are scheduled/completed to meet the clients' KPIs as required
- Ensure purchase orders are raised in a timely manner
- Carry out the roles and responsibilities of the Site Supervisor for short-term/relief periods as and when required
- Carry out employee appraisals as required
- Plan, manage, monitor, and co-ordinate the ‘Construction Phase Plan’ (CPP)
- Work effectively with other Contractors and supply chain
- Provide information in a timely manner where required, in accordance with CDM 2015, CAR 2012, and the HASAWA 1974
