Spirehouse is currently exclusively recruiting for a Housing Manager (Temporary Accommodation) on behalf of a Housing Association in Bradford.

The Opportunity: This is a 6-month interim opportunity where you will lead the day-to-day management of the IHM service including investigating ASB complaints, ensuring service charge payments are collected, and identifying long-term housing solutions for families and single people.

Duties:

  • Provide oversight in the management of the Intensive Housing Management (IHM) tenants within the association's areas of operation.
  • Oversee the successful rehousing of all IHM tenants.
  • Work in partnership with all agencies to support the rehousing of all housing tenants including local government, registered providers and private landlords.
  • Oversee any possession action in relation to IHM tenants.
  • Ensure services are provided in line with legislation and local policy including the proposed Renters Rights Act.
  • Place the resident at the centre of the organisation, ensuring customer needs are taken into account in the delivery of housing services.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to deliver services that achieve or exceed challenging targets.
  • Develop relevant policies and procedures that support consistently high levels of performance.

Further information:

  • 37 hours per working week.
  • Monday – Friday (Flexible working, as long as 37 hours are met).
  • £32.00 - £36.00 per hour dependent on experience.
  • Immediate start.
  • 6 months interim opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in managing a small team.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a housing service.
  • Extensive experience around housing legislation particularly Temporary Accommodation.
  • Full UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
