We are pleased to be able to offer this permanent position on behalf of our client based in Washington who is looking to appoint a Transport Planner. Hours of work are 8.00am-5.00pm Monday -Thursday 8.00am-12.00pm Friday.

We are looking for someone who has the organisational skills to assist the existing transport team with logistical support. Duties of the role include:

  • Organising routes to carry freight to customers
  • Assigning drivers to particular route and supporting them with any queries
  • Liaising with customers to establish delivery times and manage expectations
  • Organising back routes where possible
  • Planning of transport operations in advance where possible
  • Developing good working relationships with customers
  • Dealing with any queries from customers regarding deliveries

Experience required for the role:

  • Experience in working with in a transport office in a planning capacity is highly desirable
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent organisational skills
