Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in the schools sector? Do you thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment? Would you like to contribute to a forward-thinking and innovative Multi Academy Trust? Due to internal movement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated HR Business Partner to provide a comprehensive HR service to a thriving secondary school in Oxford, and to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Team.

You will have a dotted reporting line to the Headteacher for operational requirements and will directly report into the Trust's Head of HR Business Partnering. You will be an integral part of the Trust's Central HR Team. While primarily based at the academy, you will spend one day a week with the Central HR Team and other HR Business Partners, participating in team meetings, development sessions, and all continuous professional learning and development events.

Initially, your focus will be on developing the HR Team at the academy and aligning all HR processes with Trust policy and statutory guidelines. Over time, you will have the opportunity to support other Trust schools and grow as a multi-site HR Business Partner.

What skills/experience are required?

  • Proven and demonstrable experience working in a Schools HR environment.
  • A successful track record in managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Either an existing HR Business Partner or an aspiring HR professional ready to take the next step.
  • A strong understanding of current education HR legislation and best practice.

The role offers flexible working arrangements, with hours and working patterns tailored to the successful candidate's needs. Ideally, the role will be 37 hours per week (minimum 30 hours per week).
