Overview

Lookers, BMW Staffordshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 DOE. Up to £6,600 in uncapped bonus + an extra £2,000 for EV Qualification

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, working 1 in 4 Saturdays on rota basis. Option of late start on Monday (9:00am-5:30pm) or earlier finish on Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Due to expansion, Lookers BMW Stafford is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and performing additional repairs.

Reporting to the aftersales manager, you will receive ongoing support and training, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to help accelerate your career.

Our technicians are vital to delivering first-class customer service. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics from dealer groups or independent garages.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out vehicle health checks with the latest technology
  • Conducting vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
  • Performing additional repairs authorized by the customer
  • Completing warranty repairs as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure faults are rectified
  • Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard

The ideal candidate will have workshop experience, be self-motivated, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to high standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification are required. MOT licence is a bonus.

Experience with the brand is advantageous but not essential, as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
