We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Private Client Solicitor (Wills & Probate) to join our clients reputable and established law firm in the vibrant cities of Bristol and Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Solicitor complying to the SRA Standards or FCILEX to join our dynamic team and work closely with valued clients on a range of private client files.

The role: As a Private Client Solicitor (Wills & Probate), you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, LPA's, Trusts, Estates, Tax, and Court of Protection. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations and will be able to work autonomously to provide comprehensive legal advice to clients. You will also be responsible for budgeting, drafting legal documents and attending court when required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of private client files including Wills, Probate, LPA's, Trusts, Estates, Tax, and Court of Protection matters.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their individual needs and provide tailored legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Attend court when necessary to represent clients.
  • Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and attend relevant training sessions.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to the SRA Standards and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Admitted Registered Solicitor complying to the SRA Standards or FCILEX
  • Minimum of 2 years + PQE, preferably with experience in private client work
  • Ideally STEP qualified or actively working towards the qualification
  • A strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations in private client matters
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under time pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A strong desire to continue developing and advancing your legal knowledge and skills
