Internal Sales Executive sought by the building solutions division of a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide, to join their office near Glasgow.
The Role: As part of the expansion of the company’s building solutions product range, as Internal Sales Executive (known formally as Sales Support Representative) you will be responsible for:
- Converting sales opportunities through leads and company database
- Creating new business opportunities with potential customers
- Responsible for account management and business development within existing accounts
- Identifying upsell opportunities to develop additional sales of products within the company’s existing range
- Following up on quotations sent out by Quotations team from incoming enquiries
- Sourcing contractors and consultants responsible for development projects and arranging appointments for Sales Managers
- Using the company’s product management database to confirm potential for products, and pass these enquiries to Sales Managers
- Maintaining contact with clients, building rapport over time
- Recording and managing the sales opportunities within the CRM database in conjunction with Sales Managers
- Working independently as well as alongside Sales Managers
The successful Internal Sales Executive should have:
- Ideally experienced in a telesales or business development role within a B2B environment
- Minimum 18 months’ experience in a commercial sales environment
- Construction industry sales experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ideally experienced with CRM databases
- Computer literate with excellent communication skills
- Naturally inquisitive with a drive for converting sales
- Ability to build relationships over a period of time
- Hardworking, self-motivated and conscientious
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team within a busy, customer-orientated office
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn is more important than specific qualifications and experience

- £27,648 salary (negotiable depending on experience)
