Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Provide advanced technical support to customers using MongoDB v6 and v7, addressing complex issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of MongoDB architecture, configuration, and best practices for versions 6 and 7.
  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, replication, sharding, and data integrity.
  • Best Practices: Advise customers on best practices for database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting procedures, best practices, and customer solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve bugs, and contribute to product improvements.
  • Training: Provide training and mentorship to junior support engineers and customers on MongoDB features and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7 to 9 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on MongoDB.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MongoDB v6 and v7, including experience with replica sets, sharding, and backup solutions.
  • Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Operating Systems: Strong experience with Linux-based systems and familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve complex issues.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: MongoDB certification is a plus and cloud experience is an additional advantage.
