The Role

As a New Business Account Manager, you will join a talented group of people who are always willing to go that extra mile for their customers within Foodservice. The purpose of the New Business Account Manager is more than just selling products. You are required to seek out new business opportunities, whilst maintaining your existing business. You would be expected to deliver growth by opening new accounts within your agreed territory within the ‘Away from Home’ market.

Responsibilities include:

  • Open up new business opportunities and wins, within your territory area.
  • Continue to grow & retain all existing accounts.
  • Increase customer base, driving awareness to reach more customers and drive product penetration.
  • Develop and introduce customer business plans aligned to the business strategy & customer needs.
  • Ensure all daily activity is kept up to date via the business' CRM system.
  • Analyse sales data to drive product distribution.
  • Attend and network at external industry forums to drive new business opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A background in Customer or field sales.
  • Need to have experience within the Foods/ food service industry.
  • Understanding of the foodservice sales cycle.
  • Hunger to succeed with a hunter mentality and a passion for winning new business.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build a proposal pulling together multiple internal stakeholders e.g. marketing, chefs, operations.
  • Ability to build relationships with strong listening and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, including diary and administration management.
  • Ability to work independently & with a team.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office suite and presentation skills.
